The twilight angelheart

This one isn�t easy to categorize, because its composition is entirely done in photoshop 7, but the whole piece was then printed out onto small pieces of special paper to be stuck on a 100X70cm board, which was then overpainted with Acrylics and tempera - mainly the red parts and the complete background.

The symbolism behind it is rather complex, but something that can tell a story and i really would like to hear from you, because everyone should see it different and think about it.

From the technical point of view it should be a mark of whats possible to do with digital media combined with traditional media.

This is almost a tribute to all of my art-heroes, and was the diploma work -representation to graduate from my artschool.

major inspiration comes from Dave mcKean, Dal�, bittertaste(from DA), Brom...

A little tribute to one of the masters of analog photmanipulation"J.K.Potter" ...his book "Neurotica" was one of the first impressions and something that left footsteps in my mind to create works like this...
nowadays its easy to achieve images like this in 5 hours and less, but we should never forget that pioneers like Mr. Potter made this vision real to have programs that replace the 100 percent job in the darkroom.

This Mixed media work was actually created like my first "stillife artwork" from 2003.
My plastersculpture "Stillife 2005" was reference for this futuristic expression of a cold machine face.
Hands on modelling, digital photography and finally digital painting skills, went into this creative process to enrich the cold materia with life.

When worlds - "collide" - describes with a little irony a counterpart to the typical fantasy genre seen and known on dA and elsewhere;-)
A Ninja from above and a somehow armed Amazon-queen(?) what about that matter? i don�t know either, but i know they�re having fun, at least as much as i had while doing this piece

As for the stats, this piece is a mixed digital one, took me about 10 hours for the compositing and another 25 hours for the painting!
Dimensions are: 7000X8000 X 300dpi @ photoshop 7 and wacom graphire(damn i need a cintiq:P)

Cyber-pepper

This is my little tribute to *Artgerm �s(Stanley Lau) Pepper character and also contribution to *PepperProject.
I think its my very own style put into shape, a little bit inspired by Klimt and Brom, but what i wanted to achieve was an art-nouveau styled cyberspace fantasy - in which pepper feels and act like a pin-up queen.

This one was an interesting collaboration.
Model is the beautiful Charlotte Stokely.

A limited print run of 20 from p0rnsaints.org will be available soon on achieval paper quality max. size
45 cm height.

this one was actually intended to be my "diplomawork reference", but finally just worked out digitally, i had no clue wether i should paint the whole piece on canvas or airbrushboard, i decided to leave it the way it is...
i just have finalized it in painter, to get a more painterly feel to it.

The "motherplant" is a product of a neverending quest. A quest which makes me think about mutation, transgenetic visions and what the scholarship will do with the breed of mankind in far or near future...
This is a vision of the female species crossed with some plant, to give birth to a new generation of mankind, which is able to survive in this evergrowing process called evolution.
Maybe to survive on another planet.

Actually this piece was intended for beeing a part of an art-calendar(Deviantart) which never came out for some reasons.
As a central theme i caught up with the myth and legends, and this surreal explanation is still my point of view.

Its not a commercial illustration, but i had the intention to illustrate my brothers dog, as a birthday present(!)
And without a doubt, this image reflects all the characteristics of a pug(at least his)
The model reference was a bit blurred photo from my brothers dog, the rest is roughly created in photoshop.
